Multiforms have won the contract to manufacture and install the facade of the impressive Air Traffic Control Tower at Muscat Airport, Oman.

About the project:

The project calls for construction of air traffic control tower for Muscat International Airport. The project is part of the plan to expand and upgrade Muscat International Airport. Carillion Alawi was awarded the main construction contract in November 2010. Project duration is expected to be 38 months.

The new terminal at Muscat International Airport will be completed by 2014 and will have the capacity to handle 12 million passengers annually. Further expansions planned in three subsequent phases will ultimately boost the airport’s annual capacity to 24, 36 and 48 million passengers when the demand is required.
